Singapore | 8–9 September 2026
Alkagesta participated in GTR Asia 2026 in Singapore, one of the premier gatherings for the Asia Pacific trade, commodity, and trade finance community. The event brought together senior decision-makers from across trade and supply chain finance, commodity finance, fintech, and treasury — with over 100 speakers addressing the forces reshaping global trade.
Alkagesta was represented by Tural Huseynov and Asad Huseynov, Managing Directors, Investments and Asset Management, who engaged with banking partners, financial institutions, and industry participants from across Asia and other key markets.
The 2026 agenda covered several themes directly relevant to Alkagesta’s trading and financing activities:
- Geopolitics and Asia Pacific markets
- Shocks in the global commodities sector
- New financing pathways across the value chain
- Managing risk in maritime and shipping
- AI in trade: momentum versus reality
- Navigating a transformative phase for insurance
Singapore has become an increasingly important hub for Alkagesta’s operations. Since launching Alkagesta Asia Pte in July 2025, the Group has scaled its regional presence significantly — reaching monthly marine fuel distribution volumes of 200,000 to 250,000 metric tonnes, backed by secured storage at Horizon Terminal and a growing naphtha arbitrage book connecting European supply infrastructure with Asian demand. Alkagesta Asia’s first year has reinforced Singapore’s role as a central node within the Group’s global trading network.
For Alkagesta, GTR Asia provided a valuable platform to strengthen relationships with existing banking and financing partners, engage with new financial institutions, and explore financing and strategic collaboration opportunities across the region.
