The steel trading arm of Alkagesta, Alkavex, participated in Metal Expo Eurasia 2026 in Istanbul — the 8th edition of the International Steel Products & Production Technologies Fair, held across 42,850 square metres at the Istanbul Fair and Congress Centre. The event has established itself as the leading meeting point for the global iron and steel industry across the Eurasian region, bringing together producers, traders, technology providers, and industry professionals from across the world.
Alkavex was represented by Nijat Osmanlı, Deputy CEO, who engaged with industry participants across the three-day programme covering sustainable production, technological transformation, and global trade opportunities in the steel sector.
The 2026 edition was held under the theme “Smart Steel, Smarter Future,” with a focus on digitalization, automation, and AI-driven production processes shaping the future of the industry. Key areas highlighted during the fair included:
