Cape Town | 12–16 October 2026
Alkagesta participated in African Energy Week 2026 in Cape Town, with Rustam Mirzoev representing the company across the full five-day programme. Organised as the continent’s leading international energy conference, AEW 2026 brought together energy leaders, global investors, and policymakers from across the public and private sectors — uniting stakeholders across upstream, midstream, downstream, renewables, and energy services on a single international stage.
The conference placed Africa at the centre of the global energy conversation, with sessions examining the continent’s strategic position in an era of geopolitical realignment, the investment imperative facing African energy markets, and the path from project pipeline to project delivery across power, hydrocarbons, and renewables.
Among the themes addressed across the programme were energy security and Africa’s role as a potential strategic hydrocarbon growth hub, the financing landscape for renewable energy development, the revitalisation of onshore and brownfield assets, and the unlocking of frontier basin potential across the continent. Country-specific investment sessions covering Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, and Equatorial Guinea provided further insight into the regional opportunities shaping Africa’s next exploration and production cycle.
Alkagesta has been active across African energy and commodity markets, including petroleum products and fertilizer supply across West and East Africa. Participation in AEW 2026 provided an opportunity to engage with the policymakers, investors, and industry leaders shaping the continent’s energy future — and to deepen the relationships that underpin the company’s growing African operations.
