Alkagesta has invested in Clean Caspian, an environmental innovation project developed by researchers from Baku Engineering University and the University of Padova.

The project is focused on developing technologies for the localisation and neutralisation of oil contamination in marine environments, with particular relevance to the Caspian Sea region.

The investment reflects Alkagesta’s support for environmental innovation, applied scientific research, and entrepreneurial development. By supporting practical environmental technologies, Alkagesta aims to contribute to solutions addressing environmental challenges while encouraging the next generation of researchers and innovators.

The project has subsequently received coverage across a number of regional media and education platforms, including Azertag.az, Muallim.edu.az , AzTehsil.az, Innews.az and Innews.en.
