Alkagesta has announced its sponsorship of Malta’s U16 Women’s National Basketball Team ahead of the FIBA U16 Women’s EuroBasket 2026.

Organised by FIBA Europe, the continental arm of the International Basketball Federation, the championship brings together Europe’s leading under-16 women’s national teams and serves as an important platform for the development of emerging talent in the sport.

The sponsorship forms part of Alkagesta’s support for initiatives that promote youth development, participation, and equal opportunities through sport. Through this partnership, the company contributes to opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills and gain experience in an international sporting environment.

The initiative was supported by Alkagesta’s ESG Committee and HR & Administration Function, including the active involvement of Salbi Allahverdiyeva, Leading HR Specialist at Alkagesta.
