Lviv, Ukraine | 24–25 September 2026
Alkagesta participated in the VIII International Conference “Fertilizers of Ukraine: Autumn 2026” in Lviv — the leading industry forum for fertilizer producers, traders, distributors, agricultural companies, and logistics operators across Ukraine’s agricultural sector. The conference brought together key market participants to discuss the current state of the industry, the outlook for the Ukrainian fertilizer market in 2027, and the global and regional factors shaping price trends, imports, domestic production, and logistics challenges.
Alkagesta was represented by Elchin Aliyev, Regional Commodity Trader for Ukraine, who engaged with major agricultural holdings, fertilizer producers, importers, distributors, terminal operators, and other stakeholders across the two-day programme.
Key themes addressed during the conference included:
- Global and Ukrainian fertilizer market developments — 2026 results and the 2027 outlook
- Domestic fertilizer production, agricultural demand, and import dynamics
- Trading, logistics, and fertilizer supply chain challenges in Ukraine
- Plant nutrition technologies, fertilizer quality control, liquid fertilizers, and biostimulants
- Strategic partnerships and business development opportunities across Ukraine’s agricultural and chemical sectors
Ukraine’s fertilizer market continues to navigate significant structural pressure, with import prices for key nitrogen products rising sharply year-on-year and domestic production capacity constrained by infrastructure disruption. The fertilizer supply deficit created by war and supply chain disruption requires the kind of multi-commodity capability — spanning petroleum products, biofuels, and fertilizers — and established European supply chain networks that Alkagesta has built across the region.
