Sardinia, Italy, 8 May 2026
Alkagesta attended the 7th Edition of the JP Shipping Seminar in Sardinia, organised by JP Shipping. The annual gathering brought together professionals from the maritime, commodities, and energy sectors for discussions centred on sanctions, compliance, and the operational realities affecting international shipping and trade.
The company was represented by Akif Mammad-Zade, Global Operations Manager, and Salman Majidov, Operations Manager, who participated in the seminar’s presentations, industry discussions, and networking sessions alongside market participants from across the sector.
The seminar featured contributions from legal, trading, and market intelligence specialists, covering topics related to sanctions frameworks, shipping operations, geopolitical developments, and risk exposure within global trade routes. The event also created opportunities for industry dialogue between shipowners, traders, logistics professionals, refinery representatives, and service providers operating across international markets.
As part of the programme, participants conducted a coastal passage via service launch from the port terminal to a designated vessel berth, where they boarded a motor tanker. On board the vessel, attendees participated in a technical session covering recent developments and operational updates across the shipping industry. The session provided practical insights into current maritime operations and supported the enhancement of technical knowledge in line with evolving industry standards.
Alkagesta’s participation reflects the company’s commitment to maintaining close engagement with industry developments, regulatory trends, and operational best practices across the maritime and energy sectors, while fostering valuable relationships throughout the global shipping community.
