Alkagesta participated in the SAF Global Summit 2026 in London — one of the most significant gatherings in the sustainable aviation fuel industry, bringing together over 1,000 senior executives from across the SAF value chain, including policymakers, energy leaders, producers, investors, airlines, and OEMs. The summit’s 2026 edition was built around four key pillars: robust policy, strategic investment, scaled production and supply chain logistics, and innovative technologies.

Alkagesta was represented by Alex Yusifli, Business Development Manager, and Alasgar Guliyev, Operations Manager, who engaged with industry participants across the two-day programme.

Key themes addressed during the summit that are directly relevant to Alkagesta’s operations included:

  • SAF pricing dynamics in Europe — supply constraints, demand signals, and the commercial implications for traders and distributors
  • Feedstock frontiers — scaling sustainable supply through diversified non-food sources, efficient collection logistics, and advanced preprocessing infrastructure
  • Building global SAF corridors connecting production centres to supply hubs, including the expansion of book-and-claim systems for transparency and traceability in SAF transactions
  • The European refining sector’s role as the industrial backbone of SAF production, and the pathway from renewable feedstocks to commercial-scale output

Alkagesta holds ISCC and CORSIA certification, enabling the company to trade and supply CORSIA-eligible sustainable aviation fuel across multiple sustainability jurisdictions. The company also recently gained access to EU ETS allowances, complementing its SAF and biofuels trading capabilities and positioning Alkagesta to support clients across a broader set of carbon compliance obligations. Earlier in 2026, Alkagesta secured access to the NATO Central Europe Pipeline System (CEPS), enabling the delivery of jet fuel blended with sustainable aviation fuel directly to airlines — a development that reflects both the company’s growing presence in the aviation fuels market and the rigorous compliance standards it meets as a trusted supply chain partner.

For Alkagesta, participation in the SAF Global Summit 2026 reinforced the growing commercial importance of sustainable aviation fuel as a core component of the company’s biofuels and sustainable fuels strategy, as demand for certified SAF continues to grow across European and global aviation markets.
