The steel trading arm of Alkagesta, Alkavex, participated in three concurrent industry exhibitions held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre — Metallurgy China 2026, Wire China 2026, and Tube China 2026 — as part of the 2nd China International Steel Week, one of the most significant gatherings for the global steel and metals industry.
Alkavex was represented by Nijat Osmanlı, Deputy CEO, and Bayram Bayramli, China, Business Developer who engaged with steel producers, equipment manufacturers, traders, logistics providers, and industry participants across the four-day programme.
Metallurgy China 2026, in its 24th edition, brought together more than 1,000 enterprises across a 20,000 square metre exhibition area, positioned around the steel industry’s transformation toward higher-end, intelligent, and green development. The event served as a platform for showcasing new steel technologies, processes, equipment, and innovative business models, while fostering ecosystem collaboration and driving the international development of the steel industry.
Wire China 2026 and Tube China 2026, held concurrently and organised by Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute, Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, and MC-CCPIT, brought together leading domestic and international brands across the wire, cable, tube, and pipe industries. Now in their 12th editions, both events are Asia’s most influential trade fairs in their respective sectors, attracting over 50,000 professional buyers from across the world. The 2026 editions focused on green and low-carbon production, digitalisation and intelligent technologies, and the application of lightweight materials across global markets.
For Alkavex, participation across all three exhibitions provided direct access to the latest developments shaping the global steel and metals industry, and an opportunity to engage with key producers, traders, and technology providers across the Chinese and international steel ecosystem.
