Alkagesta participated in TFG Geneva 2026, represented by members from the company’s Finance function. Organised by Trade Finance Global and held at the InterContinental Genève alongside Geneva Commodities Week, the conference brought together over 500 professionals from trading houses, trade and commodity finance banks, credit and political risk insurers, compliance specialists, and legal and logistics providers across nine panel sessions and more than 40 speakers.

The programme opened with the outlook for commodity trading amid market volatility and continued supply chain disruption, examining practical solutions and lessons learnt from the past year of shifting trade flows. Sessions on bringing new liquidity into the commodity trade finance market and on inventory finance addressed the structures through which banks and alternative lenders are supporting physical cargoes and storage positions, while a panel on commodity trade finance banks and the energy transition explored how financing is adapting to sustainable fuels and lower-carbon supply chains.

The afternoon broadened the discussion to insurance amid conflict, the drivers behind the critical minerals agenda, and digital asset lending as a possible new frontier of investment for the trade finance market.

For Alkagesta, participation in TFG Geneva 2026 provided a forum for engaging with the banks, insurers and liquidity providers that finance the company’s trading of petroleum products, biofuels, fertilizers and steel across approximately 48 countries — building on the Banking Partners Summit hosted in Malta in October, and deepening the financing relationships that underpin the record growth seen through 2026
