Alkagesta has been highlighted in Malta Today following its onboarding as a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), marking a key step in the company’s expansion into the aviation fuel sector.
The partnership reflects Alkagesta’s growing presence in aviation, following the launch of its jet fuels trading book and recent developments in European supply logistics. Industry reports also note that Alkagesta has secured jet fuel supply agreements with major airports including Stuttgart, Cologne, and Brussels, with deliveries expected to begin in spring 2026.
These supplies will include sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), aligned with the European Union’s 2% SAF mandate, reinforcing Alkagesta’s role in supporting a more sustainable aviation industry.
