Zurich, Switzerland, 28 May 2026.

Alkagesta participated in the Swiss–Ukrainian Infrastructure & Energy Recovery Roundtable held in Zurich, focused on strengthening cooperation between Swiss and Ukrainian stakeholders in the recovery and modernization of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure and energy systems. The company was represented by Regional Trader Ukraine Elchin Aliyev.

The roundtable brought together representatives from business, infrastructure operators, financial institutions, and public sector organisations to discuss practical approaches to Ukraine’s long-term reconstruction and energy resilience. For Alkagesta, the discussions were particularly relevant given the company’s active trading operations across Ukraine and Eastern Europe in energy commodities, fuels & biofuels, fertilizers, and logistics solutions.

Key topics discussed during the roundtable included:

  • Ukraine’s transition from emergency response measures to long-term infrastructure and energy rebuilding.
  • Strengthening energy security through resilient and decentralized energy systems.
  • Modernization of transport infrastructure and logistics corridors.
  • Opportunities for Swiss engineering, industrial technologies, and infrastructure solutions in Ukraine’s reconstruction process.
  • Cooperation between private sector companies, financial actors, government institutions, and infrastructure operators.
  • Challenges and barriers affecting the implementation of infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Potential Swiss–Ukrainian partnerships and initiatives expected to develop through 2026.

Discussions also highlighted the importance of reliable supply chains, efficient logistics routes, and international cooperation in supporting Ukraine’s infrastructure and industrial recovery.

For Alkagesta, participation in the event reinforced the company’s commitment to supporting regional energy and commodity flows through flexible trading and logistics solutions. The roundtable also provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships with Swiss and Ukrainian stakeholders involved in infrastructure development, energy security, and long-term reconstruction initiatives.
